Beauty and the Beast
Hillingdon Musical Society have once again done an outstanding job, this time with the stage adaptation
of Beauty and the Beast, and are one of the first amateur company’s to perform it.
As you can see
from
the photo gallery above, the set and costumes looked amazing. Many of the
audience said it was
as
good as a west end show.
Saturday evening’s performance, to a full house was received with a standing
ovation,
one which was well deserved . Hillingdon Musical Society have announced that their next show in September will be Fame followed by Thoroughly Modern Millie in March, 2011.
The Ass and the Philosophers
Husc were asked by the Argosy Players to supply a small crew (Chris,
Iain, Jev, Simon) to help them with their get in at the Play House in the
West End March 2010. Sir David Jason's production company, in association with Channel Five approached Argosy to be a part of a pilot episode of a new
show where amateur companies are given a show,
(The Ass and the Philosophers)and just three weeks to rehearse, and
then the task of staging the show in the West End for one night. Channel Five are due to air the show in late May. So keep
your eye's peeled for your fellow husc member's.
